Digital Materials
E-cards and registered library cards in good standing can access all digital library services. Service for Overdrive/Libby and Hoopla is limited to residents of GRRL's six county service area: Benton, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd and Wright counties.
If you are a reciprocal borrower at GRRL you will not be able to access eBooks & Downloadable Audiobooks because of contract and budget limitations. A number of Minnesota Library systems offer eBook and/or eAudiobook services to their residents; please check with your home library system.
Fees on your library card must be less than $6 before accessing Overdrive/Libby and/or Hoopla. Credit card payment options are available.
Overdrive/Libby
- Read across devices -- All your loans, notes, bookmarks, and reading progress sync across your devices.
Offline access -- Download eBooks and eAudiobooks for offline reading, or stream them to save space. - Listen in your car -- Enjoy eAudiobooks in your vehicle through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or a Bluetooth connection.
- Send to your Kindle -- If you prefer reading on your Kindle, Libby can send your library books to it.
-
So much to discover -- There are thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks available, hand-selected by your library. Explore the collection through catalog guides, subjects, featured titles, and curated lists. It's a delight to discover new books through Libby.
Starting February 1st, 2026: you can have 10 items checked out at one time and 10 items on hold. Holds will not be removed once the change is made, but it will affect users who are currently at the hold limit by not allowing new holds to be placed until their holds are under 10.
Digital content is expensive for libraries to purchase. Costs per copy can range from $100 for an eAudiobook to an eBook that costs $50 per 26 checkouts. We appreciate your patience as we fulfill holds. If you finish a digital book before its due date, returning it early will help shorten the wait time and allow the library to purchase more material.
You may be asked to verify your library card number and PIN. Your PIN is most often your four digit birthday (MMDD). For example, a June 3rd birthday would have a PIN of 0603. If you've forgotten your PIN you may request a reset (allow at least one business day for a response) or call the library hotline at 1-833-GET-GRRL (1-833-438-4775)
