Apply For Your Free Library Card!
People living in Benton, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd and Wright counties are eligible for a free Great River Regional Library card. Your library card can be used in virtually any Minnesota public library. It’s the most important card you’ll ever get for free! If you live outside of one of our counties, you may bring your Minnesota library card to register as a reciprocal borrower (some borrowing limits may apply).
Apply for a card:
- If you live in our service area, you may apply for an eCard online. With your eCard, you can access our digital materials (eBooks, eAudiobooks, online databases, and more). Library staff will email you within two business days with an online-only barcode. You can upgrade to a full access card any time by visiting one of our 32 libraries.
- Apply for your free library card at any branch library with our completed library card application form and photo identification with your current address information. This card allows you full access to everything Great River Regional Library has to offer.
- If you don't live in our service area, but do live in Minnesota, see information on becoming a reciprocal borrower.
Renew or update your card:
- If you already have a library card but need to renew it or update your contact information, please contact any of our branch libraries by phone or complete our Library Card Renewal/Update form here.
We also have a number of digital resources that do not require a library account to access. Check them out on our E-book page.
