Wireless Internet Access
All 32 branch libraries in the Great River Regional Library (GRRL) system provide high speed wireless Internet service (WiFi) free of charge. To access WiFi at our libraries, all you need is a wireless-enabled laptop computer or PDA. (Our libraries provide desktop computers, but they do not provide laptop models.) The library's WiFi network is open to all visitors. You may need to move within the library to maximize the WiFi signal.
When your computer connects to the GRRL self-service interface, you will be asked to read and accept the library's Acceptable Use Policy.
There is no time limit to WiFi sessions, and most branch libraries have electrical outlets available for laptop owners using power cables. Please inquire at the desk before plugging in your laptop.
Printing From Your Laptop
Use of library printers is not possible from laptops using the WiFi service. You may transfer files to an available desktop computer and print from there. All GRRL libraries have printers available for public use.
