Can I use a card from another state's library to check out library materials?

Library cards from out-of-state cannot be used at Great River Regional Library. However, a non-resident card may be purchased (borrower limits may apply). This card is valid for three months and costs $7.50. The card may be renewed for three month increments with additional fees of $7.50 per renewal.

To apply: go to any of our 32 staffed library locations. Please bring photo ID and proof of current address, such as a driver's license or another form of photo ID with an official proof of address (i.e. a bill, check, or tax form). If you have a local location you are staying at temporarily, please also provide that address on the application form. Applications can be printed and fill out ahead of time from the "Get/Renew a Card" button at the top of this page.
