FAQs: Library Cards
Library cards are free to Minnesota residents. If you lose your card or if it is stolen, you will need to pay $1 for a replacement. Information on how to apply for your free library card can be found at the "Get/Renew a Card" page.
Library cards from out-of-state cannot be used at Great River Regional Library. However, a non-resident card may be purchased (borrower limits may apply). This card is valid for three months and costs $7.50. The card may be renewed for three month increments with additional fees of $7.50 per renewal.
Library cards expire every three years and eCards every year. This allows Great River Regional Library to keep patron information up to date. If your card is expired, you will be unable to log into your account online or access the digital library until the card is renewed.
Please immediately report a lost or stolen library card so that no one is able to use your card to check out materials in your name. You can contact any of our locations in person or by phone, or email us using the online contact form.
