Volunteer

We invite residents of our Central Minnesota community to be part of Great River Regional Library by becoming a library volunteer. Volunteer positions are ideal for anyone interested in people, books, libraries and the community.

Volunteers play a vital role by donating their time, talent, and skills to support and enhance library programs, services and outreach efforts at GRRL branch libraries and administrative headquarters at the St. Cloud Public Library.

Many GRRL locations have active volunteer programs or specific needs that can be met with volunteer assistance. Volunteers help with shelving books and keeping materials in order. They clean materials and toys. They provide expertise at crafting programs, and in other ways bring their personal abilities to the assistance of the library.

There are a variety of volunteer positions with different responsibilities, qualifications, and time commitments. Please consider volunteering with GRRL to work with library staff, share your skills, and learn new ones.

To apply for a volunteer assignment at your local library, please download the application, print and complete the form, then submit it at your local branch or the location where you wish to volunteer.

Completing the application does not guarantee that a volunteer assignment will be available. Volunteers must be 12+. Due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to all applicants. If your qualifications match a current need, we will contact you.
