How do I get a library card?

Residents of Wright, Todd, Stearns, Sherburne, Morrison and Benton counties may apply for a Great River Regional Library card in person or online.

In person

For a full access card, go to any of our 32 staffed library locations to get a library card. If you are 17 years of age or older, please bring a form of photo identification and your current address information, such as a driver's license or another form of photo ID with an official proof of address (i.e. a bill, check, or tax form). An application form can be printed and filled out ahead of time from the "Get/Renew a Card" button at the top of this page.

Online

For an eCard with access to digital materials (digital library & databases), apply at the "Get/Renew a Card" link above. Library staff will email you within two business days with an online-only barcode. You can upgrade to a full access card at any time by visiting one of our staffed locations and, for those over 17, providing proof of address and identity.

If you live outside of one of our counties, you may bring your Minnesota library card to register as a reciprocal borrower (some borrowing limits apply).
