Summer Events Begin

Summer is finally here! And Great River Regional Library is ready with many events and programs planned for you and your family!

Across all 32 library locations, there are so many events happening this June. See all the events happening this month on the GRRL Events Calendar.

  • Enjoy seeing and interacting with cool animals? These animal events are for you:
    • Remarkable Reptiles: LIVE reptiles that will thrill and excite young and old alike. Learn hands-on about reptiles, their environments, and conservation in a fun, interactive, and engaging presentation. For all ages.

    • Pine Grove Zoo at the Library: Join us for a fun-filled learning experience about animals and their habitats with staff from the Pine Grove Zoo.

    • Pint Size Polkas: It's no secret that polka music is the happiest form of music on the face of the earth. Help your family discover the good, clean fun that you can experience with polka music.

    • TaikoArts Midwest: COMPAS Teaching Artists TaikoArts Midwest put an emphasis on individual empowerment and the community-building benefits of taiko in this performance. Learn the history & cultural context of taiko drumming in Japan and the United States. You will also learn about taiko drums, how they are made, a general vocabulary for the art form, and kuchishoka how we say & teach rhythms.

    • The Dollipops: Get ready to sing, dance, and laugh with the engaging, high-energy, highly interactive new kids' show. The Dollipops! Dolli and Pop are sisters who have traveled all the way from Sweet Tart City to bring you on a magical and musical road trip that is sure to get kids (and their parents!) moving, grooving, and making memories.
