COMPAS teaching artisits: The KalpuliKetzal-Coatlicue

The Becker Public Library and the Becker Community Ed. Department joined together to bring COMPAS teaching artisits: The KalpuliKetzal-Coatlicue to the Becker Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, June 15.

Details about performance:

The group consisted of 6 dancers and 1 drummer. All the dancers wore elaborate headdresses and regalia.

The 30 minute program included explanation from Susana De Leon about the symbols on the regalia, how the head dresses are put together and the connection of the dances to animals and forces of the earth.
