College Planning/Financial Aid classes coming to GRRL

Planning for college - and the costs that come along with it - can be daunting. Statistically speaking, college has become the second-largest purchase most families will make in their lives ... yet many report feeling unprepared to tackle the task.

But, help is on the way, and you can find it at Great River Regional Library!

Several GRRL locations will be hosting College Planning/Financial Aid programs, complete with expert advice and insider tips to navigate the college application process and save money.

The course, coming up in Cokato, Elk River and St. Michael, will cover common mistakes families make while selecting colleges, myths about financial aid and tips and tricks for significantly reducing costs.

Planning ahead and developing a strategy is essential in finding the right fit and avoiding unmanageable debt.

The seminar is free and open to anyone - students, parents, grandparents and more - who are interested in learning more about how to successfully plan an academic future.

Upcoming College Planning/Financial Aid classes will be held at the following libraries:

  • Cokato Public Library: Tuesday, March 6, 7-8:15 p.m
  • Elk River Public Library: Thursday, March 8, 6-7:30 p.m.
  • St. Michael Public Library: Wednesday, May 2, 6:30-8p.m.

Pre-registration is required, so get in touch with your library to reserve your place.
