Light up your mind with great books and make reading a habit this winter!
"Light Up the Mind," the 2021 Winter Reading Program, begins Saturday, January 2, 2021, and runs through Saturday, February 27.
The program provides fun incentives for readers to settle into cozy winter reading habits. It is designed primarily for teens and adults and is open to anyone in the 6th grade or older. Each of the 32 branch libraries in the GRRL system will have prize drawings for participants. All book lovers can sign up at a branch library, on the GRRL site, or in the Beanstack Tracker app to register for the program.
Readers can log their winter reading either using this reading log from their library or our tracker app, Beanstack. By downloading and using the app, readers can keep track of their reading, get book recommendations, and earn online badges to help make reading a habit. Count the minutes you spend reading, so any amount of reading will make participants eligible for online badges and prizes. Branches will have drawings for special “Light Up the Mind” mugs and winter hats.
Join in on the fun this year as we enlighten ourselves and others through the wonder of reading!
