Do I have to return my library materials at the same location where I checked them out?

Items checked out at any Great River Regional library may be returned to any of Great River Regional Library's 33 locations.

Items borrowed through our Interlibrary Loan service must also be returned to a Great River Regional library so they can be properly removed from your account before going back to their home library system.

Materials checked out at libraries outside the Great River Regional Library system but returned to a Great River Regional library will be sent back to the owning library. Please note there may be overdue charges from the owning library since the delivery process can take additional time past an item's due date. This primarily affects our customers who use other Minnesota libraries, such as Hennepin County Libraries or Kitchigami Library System.

Great River Regional Library materials returned to other Minnesota libraries will not be considered returned until and unless the items actually come back to a Great River Regional library.  An item may be overdue or considered lost if over 45 days overdue during that time if it is received past its due date.

Most Minnesota libraries participate in this courtesy return process.
