Subject: Story stroll is back for 2023!

Once again, Sherburne County Parks is thrilled to partner with the Great River Regional Library and the City of Elk
River Parks & Recreation to combine literacy with some favorite outdoor spaces!
2023 brings a twist that will be fun for all ages! We will be hosting a POETRY PROJECT for ages 0 – 18 and
providing more of a POETRY PATH in the parks, featuring YOUR work!
This opportunity compliments the Great River Regional Library’s Summer Reading Program and will feature the
same theme: Find Your Voice!
Submitted poems will be posted along paths in Elk River’s new and improved Orono Park and well as Sherburne
County’s Grams Park, Bridgeview Park, and Oak Savanna Park throughout the summer reading program (June –
August).
To participate, sharpen your pencils and pick up your Poetry Form at the Big Lake GRRL, the Becker GRRL, or the
Elk River GRRL. You can also print the form the Sherburne County Parks & Recreation website or the City of Elk
River Parks & Recreation website. Visit our Facebook Page @ShercoParks for a link.
Poetry submissions will be accepted at each of the participating GRRL branches (Big Lake, Becker, and Elk River)
during Library Lovers Month (February 1st – 28th). Poems will not be accepted after February 28th.
