WCCO's Mark Rosen Visits Royalton

WCCO television sportscaster Mark Rosen is a superb storyteller. Rosen was at the Royalton Public Library on Friday evening, Nov. 2 to talk about his book, Best Seat in the House. He entertained the audience with stories from his forty years of covering sports in Minnesota.

He started the evening with the details of how he began working at WCCO. He was just 17, a high school intern, and it was the era of smoke filled newsrooms where reporters used typewriters to complete their stories. He shared his personal experiences from the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York where the Miracle On Ice resulted in the USA men's ice hockey team winning the gold medal.

Rosen graciously autographed books and posed for photos with audience members, all of whom enjoyed his presentation.
