Rent Help MN

The federal and state pause on evictions because of the COVID-19 pandemic will soon end.

What does this mean if I'm a renter?

You can be evicted if you have materially violated your lease as of July 14, 2021. Your lease can also be terminated if you have not paid your rent and are not eligible for emergency rental assistance funds beginning August 13, 2021. Renters who qualify but refuse to apply for rental assistance can be evicted. People can apply for assistance on renthelpmn.org or call 211.
