Library Youth Advisory Council

Want to serve as the voice of young people across Great River Regional Library region?
Apply to be a part of the Library Youth Advisory Council!

A new leadership opportunity awaits students to serve on our Library Youth Advisory Council. The council will elevate the voices of young people from Central Minnesota to shape library services and discuss improvements to current library services and programs for youth. We are seeking new members from across all GRRL counties: Todd, Morrison, Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, and Wright. Council members are middle and high school students.

Hey students! Come learn about community and local government collaboration while gaining an understanding of library services and county governance.

Perks?

  • A chance to connect with other young people from the six-county area,
  • Eligibility for per diem ($75 per meeting) or mileage reimbursement,
  • Add an excellent community position to your resume or college applications,
  • Share your voice!

The council will meet once per quarter, either virtually or in a hybrid format, and members serve one-year terms, renewable annually.
