Dear Santa: Please bring me....to the library!

When the busy holiday season has you bustling through town looking for those last minute gifts, why not take some time to give yourself a present - a visit to your local library! It's a great opportunity to slow down and enjoy some FREE and FESTIVE time for yourself. Here in the Becker Library, we have some upcoming programs that are sure to fill the whole family with holiday cheer. And of course, the Great River Regional Library has an extensive collection of holiday books, music, movies, and more.  So don’t get your tinsel in a tangle - mark your calendar and join us for some family-friendly holiday fun.

  • Preschool Holiday Storytime. Ho-Ho-How about joining us for our special holiday-themed preschool storytime? Come for some enchanting holiday stories and songs, and stay to make a cute holiday ornament.  For ages 2+ (with a favorite adult). No registration necessary. Tuesday, December 11, 10:30-11:15.
  • Holiday Bingo Night. Enjoy a fun family game night with a festive, holiday-themed game of B-I-N-G-O!  For kids from 1-92 (a.k.a. all ages). Registration is required. Sponsored by Friends of the Becker Library. Thursday, December 17th, 6:00-7:30.
  • Holiday Scavenger Hunt – I spy…a tree! Search the library to locate the ten hidden trees. Find them all to earn a holiday sticker. Monday, December 17 – Saturday, December 22nd during open library hours.
  • Music in the library with Angie Hoeft. Who says you can't have music in the library? Enjoy the beautiful music of accomplished guitarist Angie Hoeft while you do your browsing in the library. A variety of styles and eras make for musical enjoyment. For all ages. A Legacy event. Thursday, December 20 - 6:00-7:30.
