FAQs: Hours

Sometimes we're not able to be open our regularly scheduled hours. This could happen due to inclement weather or local emergencies such as power outages or gas leaks. Sometimes we close libraries due to facility work like painting or carpet replacement.

Whatever the reason, there are some general guidelines that apply:

Library open hours are unique to each of the 33 locations in the Great River Regional Library system. Visit the Locations & Hours page to locate your local library's open hours, or ask your local library staff for an Open Hours card to take home.

If one or more libraries are closed, information will be posted on a banner at the top of the website.

Helpful reminders of libraries and open hours, such as bookmarks, business cards, etc., are available at all GRRL locations.
