DVDs At The Library

The library's DVD collection of domestic and foreign movies is superb, with selections for all ages and genres. It's a large collection best searched online. If you're a fan of independent American film, you'll be happy to see the release of John Cassavetes' classic Love Streams by Criterion. The list also includes from 1956 A Man Escaped, directed by Robert Bresson, about a prison escape; World On A Wire, a futuristic thriller made for German TV, directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder; and the 1963 Kurosawa classic High And Low, about a wealthy man pursuing kidnappers.
