The Big Lake Library was a lively spot on Thursday, June 22 as folks celebrated Spudfest! Attendees competed in a good old-fashioned cake walk, listened to the RSVP Readers Theatre and sang/danced to the sounds of the Flemming Fold. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the celebration a success.

Every Thursday morning at 10 a.m., the Pierz Public Library hosts a summer storytime, and this week, the theme was "art," We begin the program with several stories, songs and rhymes before wrapping up with a craft. This week, we took our talents to the sidewalk outside the library. The kids drew a wide variety of art and enjoyed a popsicle. Summer storytime in Pierz runs through August 24, 2017. Registration is not required. Come and join in the fun this summer!

Becker Library staff members are currently evaluating hours of operation - and they'd like some feedback from patrons. The Becker Library is currently open 30 hours a week, mainly in the afternoon and evenings. A survey has been created in order to determine if the current hours still fit the needs of the community and surrounding area. Get ready for next year of wizarding at Hogwarts! We'll provide all the tools, supplies and instruction to build your own authentic-looking Ollivander's-style wizarding wand.
