After a month hiatus in December, Pre-School Story Time at the St. Michael Library is in full swing once again. Pre-School Story Time now begins at 10:05 a.m. every Wednesday to accommodate participants who have not had the chance to pre-register. The St. Michael Public Library will be celebrating its one-year anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 3 and Monday, Dec. 5 with cake for its patrons. St. Michael’s Building It Together volunteer group is one of the 2011 winners of the Minnesota Library Association’s Above & Beyond Award for its work raising funds for the St. Michael Library. The "One World, Many Stories" theme for Great River Regional Library's Summer Reading Program brought 25 children and their parents to the St. Michael library to enjoy the last themed program, "Rainforests." Marjorie Johnson, Blue Ribbon Baker and frequent guest on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, visited the St. Michael Public Library on Tuesday, June 7. The St. Michael Library, along with the Crow River Senior Center and the St. Michael city hall celebrated its Grand Opening on Saturday, March 26 with events and entertainment in nearly every corner of the building.
