The St. Michael Public Library was honored by a recent visited from author David LaRochelle and illustrator Mike Wohnoutka, along with the traveling trunk show celebrating their award-winning book, "Moo!" A giant Hubbard squash donated by patron Dennis Fogelson made its home at the St. Michael Public Library this past month. Patrons were encouraged to guess the weight of the beastly-sized vegetable. Patrons ventured guesses from 3 lbs. to a whopping 1000 lbs. The actual weight was 41 lbs. 6 oz. The winning guess went to Kylie Voss from Hanover, MN. The St. Michael Friends of the Library will have its annual Fall Book Sale on Saturday, Oct. 25, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the St. Michael City Center Council Chambers. Hundreds of books will be available including paperbacks, hard covers, children’s books and DVDs.
