The new St. Michael Library/Civic Building is progressing nicely. Due to the moderate spring temperatures, construction is slightly ahead of schedule. Masonry is being completed on the exterior walls, and soon, the windows will be installed. Mark Weigle, city administrator, said the building is still on track to open this coming fall. City Engineer Steve Bot stated at a recent St. Michael city council meeting that the total project is coming in at about $305,000 under the original estimate.
