The Twin Rivers Bella Corda is a classical guitar ensemble of talented high school and junior high guitarists from all over Central MN that rehearse weekly. Come and hear their latest fingerstyle gems from 4:30-5:45 p.m. on Friday, May 13 in the Mississippi Community Room of the St. Cloud Public Library. They look forward to sharing a variety of instrumental 'guitar choir' selections sure to please any listener.
Kevin Vollmers, executive director of Gazillion Strong, will be at the St. Cloud Public Library on Saturday, May 7, to lead a discussion about Ms. Marvel, Volume 1; Silk, Volume 0; and Super Indian, Volume 1. This unique program examines comic books and graphic novels in which the central character(s) are from marginalized communities. “I heard people talk that came from Germany, that came to America, and they all said they would never go back.” Ceil Salzl made this statement about her family and their willingness to leave the Old Country. This presentation will focus on why so many Germans made Stearns County their home, their efforts to retain elements of their culture, and starting a new life in America. Presentation will take place on Tuesday, March 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Mississippi Room.
Bring an empty bottle and your creativity to the St. Cloud Public Library Monday, March 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Artist Penny Leuthard will guide you through the process of changing an empty bottle into a one of a kind piece of artwork. Everything you need will be supplied; however, everyone is encouraged to bring any personal items they would like to include.

The Shire of Rockhaven requests your presence at a series of Medieval Madness classes at the St. Cloud Public Library Wednesdays in March, beginning March 16. Below is the schedule, times, and rooms. This is the last week to experience the Anne Frank traveling exhibit in the Teen Area of the St. Cloud Public Library. To add another layer of life to this historical time period, we will be viewing the documentary "The Typist" on Thursday, Feb 25 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Mississippi Room. Dave Cofell is an experienced full-time Americana roots/singer-songwriter professionally performing original music and cover songs on guitar, banjo, harmonica, and kazoo. He plays a wide variety of styles including folk, blues, bluegrass and old jazz standards.
