It's Saturday, July 19 and you're jonesing for some geekdom. "Where can I find something to do that has Stormtroopers, photo ops with Jean-Luc Picard, and show off my awesome Marvel comics knowledge?" Look no further than the St. Cloud Public Library. If it's geeky, we're doing it. Cosplay? Check. Dr. Who trivia? Check. Dungeons and Dragons instruction? Check. It's happening all day, it's all free, and it's all fun!

For adults: Master Gardeners of Stearns County will be available to provide research based information from the University of Minnesota Extension on Thursday, June 19 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the library's Array Room. Feel free to bring your lunch and listen or ask your gardening questions.
Kids! Teens! Mad scientists! Come to the St. Cloud Public Library any time on Monday, June 23 to build the robot of your dreams. We'll supply the building materials, you supply the imagination. These masterful creations of duct tape, paper towel tubes, and paper plates will be on display at the library from June 23 through July 5. Prizes will be drawn in two categories: Ages 8 to 12 and 13 to 18.

Each Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. during the Summer Reading Program, we'll be running a maker space at the St. Cloud Public Library to build fun projects like catapults and air shooters! Join in the creative chaos. For ages 8 to 17 in the Children's Programming Room. Preregistration appreciated.
The Twin Rivers Bella Corda is a Classical Guitar Ensemble of talented high school and junior high guitarists from all over Central MN that rehearse weekly. Come and hear their latest fingerstyle gems from 4:45-5:45 p.m. on Friday, May 2 in the Mississippi Community Room of the St. Cloud Public Library. They look forward to sharing a variety of instrumental 'guitar choir' selections sure to please any listener.
Central Minnesota Legal Services, in cooperation with volunteer attorneys and the St. Cloud Public Library, will be conducting free legal advice clinics to assist low-income persons with issues regarding family, estate, and probate law. The next Clinic will take place Tuesday, April 28 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Pre-registration and a financial screening are required. April is National Poetry Month - and the St. Cloud Public Library is going all out. Downstairs we've hung a giant community magnetic poetry board. Come on in and share your creative side. Upstairs we have a redacted poetry program through April. We supply pages from books and encourage teens to redact the written word, thus creating new art from old.
