St. Cloud Public Library is currently hosting an art exhibit titled “Open Doors" featuring artwork by local artist Sarah Drake. Her paintings are hanging on the second floor in an area that overlooks the main entrance. Drake is one of a group of American artists that will be exhibiting in the Marina Tsvetaeva Museum and Cultural Center in Moscow, Russia from Dec. 20 to Jan. 1. This hands-on, one night workshop will focus on the ins and outs of developing, writing, and formatting proposals for individual artist funding opportunities in Minnesota and beyond. It is presented by Peter Happel Christian for Visual Arts Minnesota. All are welcome to attend on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the St. Cloud Public Library's Bremer Community Room.

Saint Cloud State University Political Science Department Chair Jason Lindsey will explore the usual patterns of elections, explain the Supreme Court Citizens United ruling on corporate giving, clarify the role of the electoral college, and answer your questions in a presentation at St. Cloud Public Library.
