Summer is in full swing. The birds are chirping, the sun is shining and humidity is in the air. Summer events at Sauk Centre Public Library began with a fantastic Heebie Jeebies concert. The Great River Regional Library in Sauk Centre sponsored a fantastic face painting EGGtravaganza at the Sauk Centre Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt. More than 150 children turned out to enjoy the Easter Egg Hunt and to get their faces painted by All About Fun For Kids. The children were lined up to get their faces painted. What a great way to bring in spring!

The first week in September was quite the week at the Sauk Centre Library. We had the huge job of getting the library ready for new carpet. This included the task of removing items from the shelves, moving furniture, and other minor details. Thanks to the help of the staff and some volunteers, the work was done in no time. New art is on display at the Sauk Centre library. It is being displayed courtesy of an art awareness group known as AWE (Artists Welcoming Everyone). The artwork has been created by the students of Sauk Centre Elementary School. AWE is interested in improving students' visual arts experiences and allowing the greater community the opportunity to appreciate student art.
