Members of the St. Cloud River Bats Baseball Team stopped by the Al Ringsmuth Public Library on Tuesday, June 14 to help kick off the Summer Reading Program with a baseball mini-camp.
River Bats infielder Kyle Steiner from Peoria, Arizona, pitcher Steven Swift from San Ramon, California, and manager Jon Hansen led the mini-camp. About thirty children gathered outside the library on a sunny morning and received instruction from the players on fielding, batting, and pitching.
Thanks to support from Regent Broadcasting, River Bats game tickets were given away in a drawing to the children. The kids had a great time working on their baseball skills and meeting the players.
