Richmond Public Library is celebrating Banned Books Week (Sept. 21-27) with a guessing game. The prize is a banned book for teens and kids. At the library, find the Banned Books display and guess the title based on the cover. Learn the reason why the books were controversial. We think some of these titles may surprise you. Richmond Public Library has fabulous prizes for the Summer Reading Program, beginning June 9! The Richmond Friends of the Library have donated e-readers which will be given as special prizes. Have you seen the new bench outside the Richmond Library? That’s the work of The Friends of the Richmond Library. The Friends worked with Murphy Granite Carving, Inc., who offered the Friends a discount on the beautiful piece of granite from India. Local artist Jenny Evens created this design that the Friends loved.
