In June, the Pierz Public Library started a youth and teen book club. Many expressed interest in joining. There are twelve youth book club members. They are very excited about the club. Most took part in reading aloud, but some chose to hang back. The youth book club is reading Bronte's Book Club by Kristiana Gregory. In the last several months, two new faces have smiled and welcomed patrons at the Pierz Public Library. A new branch assistant, Joan Stuckmayer (on left in photo) has joined the staff in Pierz. She may be familiar to many, for she also holds the same position in Little Falls. Eleven years ago, she relocated to Pierz from Elk River, where she had been an avid library user.
