Wear your favorite (ugly or otherwise) holiday sweater and join us Saturday, Dec. 10 for an hour of cookie decorating at the Paynesville Public Library. We'll have sweater-shaped sugar cookies provided, along with frosting and equipment. You can try to create the ugliest cookie sweater ever, or make a deliciously beautiful treat - it's up to you. What are you going to be for Halloween? Get a start on your costume at 'Make A Mask!' at the Paynesville library on Friday, Oct. 21 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m (during Education Minnesota weekend). July 28, 2016 is the 150th anniversary of the birth of Beatrix Potter, author of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and many other classic children's stories. Celebrate her birthday at the Paynesville branch the week of July 25 to 30. We'll have displays, birthday cake on Thursday July 28, and a story walk during the week.
