Author Douglas Wood

Thanks to Legacy funding, Great River Regional Library is able to bring one of Minnesota's favorite children's authors here to Grey Eagle! Doug Wood will be entertaining friends of all ages with songs & readings from some of his favorite books. Join us for some family fun and an opportunity to have Doug Wood sign your favorite book on Saturday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. To have enough room for this event, we will be using the lounge at the Village View at 303 Cedar St N. Refreshments to follow courtesy of the Grey Eagle Library Association.

Douglas Wood has been called Minnesota’s “renaissance man” — author, artist, musician, naturalist, wilderness guide. As a writer of books for children and adults he has almost two million copies in print, including the classics Old Turtle and Grandad's Prayers of the Earth. Among his many honors and awards have been the Christopher Medal, ABBY Award, International Reading Association Book of the Year, Minnesota Book Award, Midwest Publishers Association Book of the Year, Parent's Choice Award, Barnes and Noble Star of the North, and Story Telling World Award.

This performance is being held at The Village View Housing, 303 Cedar St N., Grey Eagle,
