The Friends of the Albany Library are having a book fair at the St. Cloud Barnes & Noble on Monday, Dec. 14. Stop in to the Albany Public Library to pick up a book fair slip, and a percentage of any purchases you make at the St. Cloud Barnes & Noble on Dec. 14 will go to support the Friends of the Albany Library. If you like to read, play games and eat pizza, grab your friends, sign up at the Albany Public Library and start reading. Students may sign up in groups or individually to participate in the Battle of the Books for Teens. The bookdrop outside of the Albany Library was replaced on July 2. Patrons and staff alike are celebrating its return and their ability to return books whenever they want to do so. The old bookdrop was damaged on June 11. Since then patrons have had to return books during open hours or return them at other libraries. Please let staff know if you have experienced any difficulties with item returns during this time.

The Friends of the Albany Library are having their annual book sale and it's coming soon! The dates are June 18,19, and 20 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 400 Railroad Avenue in Albany. A large selection of book for adults and children will be available along with movies, books on tape and other miscellaneous items. Proceeds from the book sale benefit the Albany Library.
